I’m 27 and starting to notice a receding hairline and thinning hair. I’ve decided to put up a fight and try to slow it down for at least another 5 to 10 years. What’s odd is that my dad, who’s in his late 50s, still has a full head of hair. Same with my uncles. So it feels a bit unusual that I’m losing mine like this.
My best guess is that it might be down to the harsh winter and all the rain. Either way, I’m thinking of giving Rogaine a go.
If you’ve used it, I’d really appreciate some honest reviews. Did it work for you? Any side effects? Cheers in advance
Just shave it. You don’t have to go full-on smooth like The Rock. Just clip it right down like Jason Statham. Most people don’t find it unattractive at all, unless you’ve got a properly odd-shaped head. I actually find it pretty satisfying how much money, barber trips, and effort it saves me.
I started using it about a year ago and it definitely works. Not a complete fix, but there’s a noticeable difference. I’ve also been using it on my beard, which I could never fully grow out before (I’m in my 40s), and that’s worked really well. Proper happy with it so far. Just need to see how it holds up in the long run.
I’ve been on meds to keep hair loss at bay for over 15 years. My older brother’s nearly bald and never did anything about it. I gave Rogaine a go, but it’s a bit of a faff and didn’t really do much.
You’re better off trying oral minoxidil. It’s easier and works better than the topical stuff. I take finasteride with it as well.
Oh, and if you smoke or drink too much, best knock that on the head. That’ll speed up the hair loss big time.
