Should I Get a Hair Transplant or Try Minoxidil Again?

I’m a 25 M, and I’ve been experiencing hair thinning at the center of my scalp for the past year. I initially tried minoxidil for a week but stopped because of excessive shedding. After a month, I consulted another doctor and restarted minoxidil, but my hairline kept getting worse. I eventually stopped using it after a month, and now I have noticeable baldness.

At this point, I’m seriously considering a hair transplant. However, I’m unsure if that’s the best approach or if I should try minoxidil (or other treatments) again.

For those who have been in a similar situation:

  1. Is a hair transplant a better option at my age, or should I try medications first?

  2. If you’ve had a hair transplant, how was your experience, and would you recommend it?

Any advice would be really helpful!

Try minoxidil and stay on it. The shed happens cause it changes your hair growth schedule, and rapid restarts it basically. Stay on it for at least 6 months and you should be good. Also consider finasteride or dutasteride. This will help prevent future hair loss. If you get a transplant without stopping your loss, the rest will just continue falling out.

Get a hair transplant if you still want once everything has slowed down

If minoxidil shedded your hairline than it mean it will work,you have to give it time,minoxidil did wonders for me 5-6 years ago

minox will shed it then it will re grow your hair

using HT is my opinion
