I’m 18 at the moment and my hair’s thinning more each day. Hairline’s doing a runner too. How did you deal with it?
Got myself a buzzer and just went for the clean look. Still miss my mohawk, but I never let it get me down that it wasn’t coming back.
I used to keep it short on the sides and a bit longer on top for years. Looked decent if you stayed on top of it. Thing is though, it never really turns around. You could go for the full shave. Plenty of blokes do that, even the ones who aren’t losing it. In the end, I just embraced it. Realised that even if I’m mostly bald up top, the hair I do have still looks alright. So I grew a beard and let the rest grow out a bit. Now I look like an ageing Viking who works a desk job, but it works.
As for dating and all that… I married a woman whose dad was bald, so there you go.
I started thinning on the crown and used Rogaine to sort it. Looks great now. If you catch it early enough, it really does work. No idea why people think it’s a scam, because it’s not.
It’s not that lads think it’s a scam. Most are just worried about the whole erectile dysfunction side effect.
My bestfriend started going bald at 15. He did everything he could to fight it. Combed his hair forward for ages, spiked it up all dramatic (this was back in 2007 or 2008 when that was somehow a thing), tried every trick going.
A few years later, the best thing he did was just embrace it. Started getting proper short buzzcuts or one of us would shave it for him. Once he stopped trying to fight it and just accepted it, his confidence went through the roof.
Finasteride or Rogaine, really. Those are your main options.
Mostly just shrugged, to be honest. Had a decent run before the hairline started creeping back.
I already knew I’d deal with it by just accepting it and cutting my hair shorter. Rather that than trying some daft and obvious way to cover it up.
Shaved it all off. I saw it coming, thanks to my older brothers. Watching them try to hold onto it just made things worse, so I didn’t bother.
Just go bald with a bit of style, mate!
Don’t stress it. It’s not the balding that puts people off, it’s the panicky vibes some blokes give off. You might not even be losing it, could just be a mature hairline coming in. I remember flipping out over mine as a teen, turns out I wasn’t even going bald.
It did my head in at first, but after a while I just accepted it.
Now I give it a shave every couple of weeks and enjoy not faffing about with it every morning.
I keep it really short and luckily it suits me well enough.
Shave the dome, mate. You’ll look miles better than anyone still clinging on to the scraps.
Just like everyone else, I shaved it off!
Grow some facial hair and keep your hair short. Most people honestly don’t care at all. The biggest critic is usually just you.
Went to the gym, made money, dressed well. Didn’t take years of suffering.
Grow a bit of facial hair and get a crew cut.
Whatever you do, just roll with the hair loss. Don’t bother with some mad hairstyle or a comb over. You’ll only end up looking ridiculous if you try to hide it.
It’s got nothing to do with your health. Just happens to some blokes, some earlier than others. Nothing to stress about or cope with, really.
Let Johnny Sins help you cop, mate. If he can rock the bald look, so can you.
