I’ve been seeing some good stuff about it online, but haven’t come across much about it on this forum. Just wondering if anyone’s actually tried it and seen any results.
I’ve given castor oil and rosemary oil a go, but neither did much for me to be honest.
I’ve been using rosemary oil. It seems to help with my dandruff and gives my scalp a bit of a boost. Not too sure if it’s doing much for the hair loss, though.
To be honest, the only thing I’ve ever found rosemary oil good for is roast lamb. No sarcasm there, just straight up. I’ve looked into all sorts over the last 36 years, and in my experience, proper meds give the best results if you can tolerate them. All the best!
Yeah, helping with the dandruff checks out. Most flakes come from shampoos loaded with alcohol that dry your scalp out. Not too sure about the whole “stimulating growth” bit though. Like Gatsby said, the only real use for oil is roasting. Just don’t go near the cooker with it…
Onion juice, rosemary oil… what’ll they come up with next, eh?
I’ve been using it for about two months now. I massage the oil into my scalp and leave it overnight. Before I started with the rosemary oil, I’d run my hands through my hair and see four or five hairs come out. Since starting, it’s been more like none or maybe one or two. I’ve been keeping track properly for a while, so it’s not just a fluke.
Still a bit sceptical, but I’m going to give it a full six months and see if there’s any real growth. I even did a little test once. After washing my hair, I left it completely alone for three days just to see if it’d go back to the usual shedding, but it stayed low at zero to two hairs. So maybe there’s something to it. If it actually does stop DHT from binding to the follicles, that’d be a proper game changer. Just too early to say for sure yet.
I’ve given castor oil a go, but didn’t notice any difference, sadly…
I haven’t tried rosemary oil meself, but I’ve heard some decent things about it. People say it helps reduce hair loss by improving blood flow in the scalp.
I usually go for peppermint or tea tree oil. They’re good for stimulating growth and making the roots stronger, and they’ve worked well for me. Herbal extracts like nettle, horsetail, ginseng and aloe vera are also pretty solid. They help reduce inflammation, strengthen the roots and improve the overall condition of your hair.
Total BS. These oils do absolutely nothing to fight MPB
