What were your thoughts when you first started experiencing hair loss?

I wonder what went through your heads when you first noticed the hair loss started kicking in

Well, absolute shite mate.

“I should fix this.”

Went out, got myself a decent shampoo and conditioner, and recently picked up some minoxidil in bulk. Fortunately, it’s been working like a dream.

Was upset at first because I thought it would ruin my dating life. Pretty soon realised though that even if women say they do not like balding blokes, most of them genuinely do not care in the end.

“Oh no, already?”

I always knew I was going to go bald, but I never thought I would start seeing signs of thinning at 18. By 19, I had to cut my hair shorter because it just was not growing properly at the front and it started to look a bit odd.

At 20, I noticed it was thinning again, even with a short cut. As I got closer to my 21st birthday, my hair started looking ridiculous even with a low trim. So the week after I turned 21, I shaved it all off.

I absolutely love bald men. It is honestly a preference for me. My husband is bald. I come from a family full of bald men too. My brother, my dad, my uncles, my cousins, all of them. Even when I watch porn, it is the bald lads I find myself drawn to the most.

Shave your head, own the Mr. Clean look, and stop fretting. If being bald were such a massive issue for women, there would be no bald men left. Be proud of your bald head.

And when people crack jokes, just fire back. Pick something about them you do not like and have a bit of fun with it. Play their game better than they do.

I’m a proper introvert, so whenever someone makes a joke about it, I just sort of cower and go quiet. It is not too bad around mates, but it is worse with family, especially my brother. He keeps cracking jokes about it and does not seem to realise how much it gets to me. If I told him it bothered me, he would probably just keep at it anyway.

ohh and i appreciate your comment

Try to catch him on his own and tell him straight that you do not appreciate it. He cannot read your mind and probably has no idea it hurts as much as it does. You cannot just sit there and let it carry on.

A little upset, but I had been expecting it. Neither my dad nor my grandad had much hair left by their twenties, so I knew it was bound to happen.

I was about 16 or 17 when it started. Just shaved it off and got on with things.

Knew it was coming since all the blokes in my family are bald. Luckily we’ve got the heads for it, so I just thought meh and shaved it all off.

You mean growing back in, or just stopped losing it?

Some of the receding hair’s come back, and the rest’s looking fuller and thicker. Trick is catching it early and sticking with it.

What brand are you using then?

“High school sucks.”

“Bloody hell, mate.”

That’s exactly what I thought.

“Its to get my self a buzzer.”

“I should start using Rogaine.”

that’s the first thing that comes to my mind.

Looks like the chemo’s going alright.

“Fuck.”

Makes me laugh now thinking about the face I must’ve pulled when I clocked I was going bald :joy:
